Over the last year, many leaders have asked a fair question: “What does good look like?” This card is one way we are trying to answer that with more clarity, more transparency, and better peer context.
This card is a starting point for the conversation. It is meant to help us own outcomes, not just review numbers.
The purpose is simple: good leaders need good line of sight to make good business decisions. This is not a gotcha and not a report card. You do not need to have every answer before we meet. We just need to understand the story together.
Our goal is to help … move toward 28% Branch Contribution as a region. We cannot do that well without your voice, ownership, and shared knowledge.
This is about more than a number. It is about running healthy branches that take care of our people, serve customers well, and keep getting stronger.
People, performance, and profit all matter. We are not choosing one over the other. Healthy branches take care of their people, serve customers well, and produce strong results.
Branches do not all start from the same place. Business mix, market, staffing model, customer base, and service lines all affect what the path looks like. That is why we are starting with peer comparison, transparency, and practical action.
Whether your card shows several strengths, several opportunities, or a mix of both, the ask is the same: understand what is driving the results, protect what is working, and identify 1–3 practical moves that help the branch and region get stronger.
Your read matters, and it will help shape the plan.
Your card compares your branch to peers with a similar business mix. We grouped the … branches into five buckets so the comparison is fairer than using one regional average.
Buckets are not perfect. Every branch is unique. Peer numbers do not capture every nuance.
Peers give us a reference point, not a verdict.
Please ask questions. We are a team. If something in the numbers does not make sense, bring it up. We would rather understand it clearly than assume we have it right.
The card and forms are tools to help you prepare and keep follow-through simple.
Before the 1:1, review your card and use Form 1 to capture your first read, questions, possible moves, and support needed.
In the 1:1, you and your Regional Director will talk through the numbers, add branch context, and agree on the right 1–3 moves for the quarter.
After the 1:1, use Form 2 to confirm the final moves, owner, timing, expected impact, and support needed.
Follow-through lives in your monthly financial review. We will keep the check-in simple: what moved, what changed, and what is in the way?
This is not a one-time review. Every quarter, you will receive a fresh card with the same structure and updated numbers.
We will look back at the moves from the prior quarter: what worked, what shifted, and what needs to keep going. Then we will name the next 1–3 moves for the quarter ahead.
Path to 28 is the rhythm we use, not a one-time review. We keep going.
This is what makes Pye-Barker strong: great leaders and knowledgeable people across different areas, with different strengths, working as one team.
